Your hosting renewal is about to jump — again

cPanel has raised license prices seven years in a row — up more than 55% since 2019 — with the 2026 prices taking effect 1 January 2026 (reported by webhosting.today; breakdowns also covered by MonsterMegs and HostScore). Providers including ScalaHosting, Namecheap, and IONOS are already adjusting VPS and cloud prices in response, and industry trackers at TopSiteHosters and Mutewind point at the same cocktail: control-panel licensing, the Broadcom/VMware overhaul, energy costs, and consolidation.
In Malaysia the squeeze lands on top of already-wide spreads: shared cPanel hosting typically runs RM30–200/month, NVMe VPS from roughly RM45/month entry-level to RM700/month high-spec, a .my domain RM80–100/year, and .com.my RM60–80/year (Jumix, 28 August 2026 — jumixdesign.com/domain-hosting-cost-malaysia-2026/). Jumix's warning is worth quoting: watch the renewal price, not the year-one promo, and make sure *you* own the domain and hosting account.
That is exactly how we price: fixed plans, your domains registered in your name, no promo-then-ambush renewals.
