Cloudflare gives AI agents sandboxes, memory, and a wallet

Cloudflare spent August 2026 shipping 20+ launches under its "Agents Week" banner, and the headline move is the strangest: AI agents get their own wallets. Starting 4 August 2026, developers can claim a Cloudflare Wallet handle so an autonomous agent holds a verifiable identity and spends money online within owner-set limits (reported via shattered.io's Agents Week roundup).

Underneath the wallet sit the unglamorous pieces that actually matter for production: Dynamic Workers that execute AI-generated code in lightweight isolates with millisecond startup (roughly 100x faster than containers), Sandboxes going GA, Agent Memory, AI Gateway covering 70+ models, and — announced 5 August — company-wide tooling that shows exactly which employees and agents use AI, what they send, and what it costs in real time.

For ASEAN teams, the message is that agents are moving from demos to infrastructure with receipts. The teams that win will be the ones with audit trails and spend limits from day one — not bolted on after the first surprise bill.
